Art Teacher CPD Sessions

Are you looking to confidently incorporate oil painting into your art curriculum? These tailored CPD workshops are designed specifically for art teachers who want to expand their expertise in this versatile medium. Workshops are led by Sam, an experienced art educator with years of teaching experience in both private and public schools. These sessions provide practical tips, techniques, and resources to help you teach oil painting effectively.

Oil painting offers incredible opportunities for students at GCSE and A Level to push their creative boundaries. For high-ability students, it encourages experimentation and refined outcomes, while for lower-ability students, the slower drying time removes the pressure of working with fast-drying mediums like acrylic, allowing for more considered mark making.

For years, many art teachers shy away from oils due to concerns about cost, classroom practicality, or maintenance. However, with the right strategies, oil painting can be surprisingly affordable and classroom-friendly. Through these workshops, you'll learn how to seamlessly introduce oils into your teaching practice, enhancing student engagement and artistic achievement across KS4 and KS5.
